Plans and pricing

Priced so you can
say yes today.

Three maintenance plans, one honest number each. Custom project work is quoted before it starts. Nothing here needs a sales call to find out what it costs.

  • No contract. Cancel any month.
  • You own your site, your domain, and your hosting.
  • No setup fee, and no charge for the first health audit.
  • Extra work is $85 an hour, quoted before I start.

Monthly maintenance plans

Upkeep

A brochure site that rarely changes

$59/ month

or $600 a year — saves $108

The essentials, handled quietly in the background. Your site stays patched, backed up, and watched, and you get a plain-English note each month telling you it is fine.

  • Monthly core, plugin, and theme updates
  • Weekly offsite backups, kept 30 days
  • Uptime monitoring with alerts to me, not you
  • Monthly malware and security scan
  • Up to 30 minutes of content edits, sent as one batch
  • Monthly health email in plain English

Edits cover content that already exists, and come as one batched request a month rather than a running thread. Beyond 30 minutes is billed hourly, and if you change your site most weeks, Care is the better fit.

Best fit for most sites

Care

A working site you actually update

$89/ month

or $905 a year — saves $163

For a site that earns its keep. Faster update cadence, daily backups, and enough included time that small changes stop piling up on your to-do list.

  • Everything in Upkeep, plus:
  • Weekly updates instead of monthly
  • Daily offsite backups, kept 90 days
  • Broken link and contact form testing
  • Up to 1 hour of content edits or small fixes
  • Quarterly speed check with recommendations

Included time covers edits and small fixes, not new page templates or feature work. Those get quoted as a project.

Partner

A site that carries real revenue

$299/ month

or $3,045 a year — saves $543

When downtime costs you money and the site keeps evolving. Everything is tested on a private copy first, you get same-day replies, and there is real development time built in every month.

  • Everything in Care, plus:
  • 3 hours of development time monthly, rolls over one month
  • Staging site — changes tested before they go live
  • Work starts the same business day
  • Daily backups kept a year, restored in one click
  • Uptime checked every minute

This is the right tier for ecommerce, booking, or membership sites. It is still weekday cover, not 24/7 — anything sent overnight or at the weekend is picked up the next business morning. For a simple brochure site it is more than you need.

Prefer to pay for the year? Every plan is 15% cheaper annually. It is still not a contract — cancel any month and I refund the months you have not used.

Not sure which fits? Send me your URL and I will tell you the smallest plan that actually covers you.

Scroll the table sideways to compare all three plans — the row labels stay put.

Anything beyond your included time is $85 an hour, the same number on every plan, and always quoted before I start.

The same goes for getting your site to a clean starting point. Most arrive with a backlog — outdated software, no working backup, a form that quietly stopped sending — and the first two hours of clearing it are included with any plan.

The monthly report is the part people find hardest to picture, so there is a full one on the site: see a sample monthly report.

Add-on

Quarterly SEO review

A full search and performance pass over your site — visibility, page structure, indexing, internal links, and load speed — written up in plain English, then a 45-minute call to decide what is worth acting on. Available on any plan.

Different from the speed check included with Care and Partner. That one measures how fast your site loads and flags what is slowing it down. This one is a wider audit with a strategy call attached. It is still an audit rather than a campaign: you get findings and a priority order, and nothing is retained monthly.

$275per quarter

One-time work

Custom projects

Building something new, rebuilding something tired, or getting out of a bad situation. These are quoted as fixed-scope projects with a written estimate before any work starts — you approve the number, then it does not move.

Every project ends with a month on the Care plan, included, so nothing is abandoned at launch.

A new site, built from scratch

From
$3,500
Typically
3 to 5 weeks

For a business with no site, or one so old it is not worth saving. Designed around what you actually need customers to do — call, book, or buy — rather than around a template.

What this involves

A redesign of what you have

From
$2,400
Typically
2 to 4 weeks

Your content is mostly right but the site looks its age and does badly on phones. We keep what works, rebuild the front end, and leave your URLs and search rankings intact.

What this involves

A rescue or a migration

From
$850
Typically
3 to 10 days

The site is hacked, broken, painfully slow, or trapped with a host or developer you cannot reach. Contained, fixed-scope work with a clear finish line.

What this involves

Before you ask

Fair questions

What actually counts as an "edit"?

Swapping text or photos, updating hours or prices, adding a blog post or a staff bio, fixing a link, adjusting a form. If it's a change to something that already exists, it's an edit. Building a new page template or adding a booking system is project work, and I'll quote it before starting rather than quietly burning your included time.

What if I go over my included time?

I tell you before I do the work, not after. You get an estimate, and you decide whether to approve it, roll it into next month, or skip it. There are no surprise invoices — the hourly rate for extra work is listed in the comparison table above.

Can I switch plans or cancel?

Any month, both directions, no penalty. Upgrades take effect immediately and I prorate the difference. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing month. If you cancel, I hand over your backups and access — you're never locked in.

Do you host my site?

No, and that's deliberate. You keep your own hosting account in your own name, so you're never held hostage by your maintenance provider. If your current host is the actual problem, I'll tell you and help you move — that's a rescue project, and it's usually a one-time cost that pays for itself in a year.

What platforms do you work with?

Mostly WordPress, which is what the large majority of small business sites run on. I also maintain static and hand-built sites. Squarespace, Wix, and Shopify are closed platforms that handle their own updates and backups, so a maintenance plan there would be mostly hot air — for those I do project and edit work by the hour instead.

My site is already broken. Can you start today?

Usually. Send a message describing what's happening and I'll tell you what I think is wrong and what it'll cost to fix, before you commit to anything. Emergency fixes are project work; a maintenance plan afterward is what keeps it from happening again.

Why should I trust one person over an agency?

An agency gives you redundancy and a support queue. I give you the same person every time, who already knows your site, and who answers directly. For a site of this size, the queue is usually the problem rather than the solution. If you need 24/7 coverage with a contractual SLA, an agency genuinely is the right call and I'll say so.

No commitment

Find out what shape your site is actually in.

Send me the URL. I'll check updates, security, speed, backups and whether your forms are reaching you, then write up what I find. It's free, and the report is yours either way.
