About

Not an agency.
Just me.

I look after websites for small businesses — the unglamorous, essential work of keeping them updated, backed up, fast, and online. And when a site's reached the end of its life, I build the replacement.

Who you would be emailing

I am Bryan.

I've been building and looking after websites for more than fifteen years, most of that inside agencies. Some were strictly web shops, some were full marketing agencies. I built many sites from the ground up, and I was usually managing ten to twenty at a time.

The same thing was true at every one of those agencies. There was no plan for after launch. The site went live, the invoice cleared, and everyone moved on to the next project. Maintenance was never in the scope, because nobody had thought to put it there.

Tended is the part that was always missing.

The short version

Why this exists

Nearly every small business site I am asked to look at tells the same story. It was built properly, once. Then the person who built it moved on, and nobody inherited the job. Two years later the software is a dozen versions behind, the backup plugin stopped running in March, and nobody has checked whether the contact form still sends.

The owner isn't at fault for this. They were sold a website, not a relationship with one. The industry is set up to charge well for launches and badly for the years afterward, so the years afterward are where everything quietly rots.

That gap is the whole reason this practice exists. Maintenance isn't exciting work and it doesn't photograph well, but it's the difference between a site that keeps earning and a site that becomes an emergency. I'd rather be the person who prevents the emergency than the one who bills for it.

I keep the client list deliberately small. That's not scarcity marketing — it's the only way one person can answer their own email, know every site properly, and still do the work well.

What I believe

Four things I will not budge on.

Boring is the goal

A website that never surprises you is a website doing its job. I'm not trying to sell you a redesign every eighteen months, or add tools you won't use. Most months, the right answer is that nothing needed to change.

You should understand what you are paying for

Every report is written in plain English, with no dashboard to log into and no jargon standing in for detail. If I can't explain why something matters, it probably doesn't.

Nothing is held hostage

Your hosting, your domain, and your accounts stay in your name. If we stop working together I hand over the backups and access the same week, without friction. Lock-in is a business model, not a service.

I will tell you when not to hire me

If your platform already handles its own updates, or your budget is better spent somewhere else entirely, I'll say so. A plan you don't need is a refund waiting to happen.

Honest fit

Who I am not right for.

It saves us both a call. If you're in this list, I'd rather point you somewhere better than take a deposit and disappoint you.

  • Enterprise sites with contractual uptime guarantees and 24/7 on-call coverage.
  • Anything needing a team of six by next quarter.
  • Running an SEO campaign month to month, paid ads, or social media management. I will audit your site’s search and performance and tell you what to fix — I do not take a retainer to chase rankings.
  • Cheapest-possible work where the goal is a low number rather than a working site.

Everyone else — a working small business with a website that matters and nobody currently minding it — is exactly who this is built for.

Practicalities

How the work runs

  • Email is the front door. No portal, no ticket numbers. You will hear back the same business day.
  • Mostly WordPress — along with static and hand-built sites. It is what most small businesses actually run on.
  • Billed monthly, cancel any month. No contract, no setup fee, no minimum term.
  • Work is quoted before it starts. Anything beyond your included time gets an estimate you approve first. There are no surprise invoices.
  • Based in Castle Rock, Colorado. I work with businesses across the Denver and Colorado Springs corridor, and remotely anywhere in US time zones. Calls scheduled when you need one, not on a cadence.

Next step

See what shape your site is in.

The health audit is free and there's no obligation attached to it. Worst case, you get an honest write-up of your website and we never speak again.
